COMIGEL, with the fund CEREA CAPITAL as main share holder and Erick LEHAGRE as Chief Executive, has acquired the company ATLANTIQUE ALIMENTAIRE in close co-operation with its founders Jean-Pierre MEUNIER and Vincent TAVEAU, who have now also become shareholders of COMIGEL.

On various international retail markets and in specialized outlets COMIGEL commercializes a range of frozen convenience food, mainly under private label and produced in its factory Tavola (15 000 tons of ready meals).  The range is completed with other deep frozen convenience food items produced in co-operation with different European partners.

In 2009 Comigel realized a consolidated turnover of € 60 million with 200 employees in France and Luxemburg.

ATLANTIQUE ALIMENTAIRE, founded in 1997 by its directors Jean-Pierre MEUNIER and Vincent TAVEAU, is specialized in the production of dough based fine food specialties under private label (15000 tons of Quiches and savory Tarts & Crêpes). The products are distributed on the European retail market, but also on the out-of-home market.

ATLANTIQUE ALIMENTAIRE, situated in La Rochelle- France, realized in 2009 a turnover of € 41 million and the company employs 240 persons.

This acquisition is in line with the strategy of COMIGEL to build a solid group active in the production and commercialization of deep frozen convenience food.
